Frequently Asked Questions and Policies
Is there a picnic area at The Winery?
The 1619 Wine Pavilion serves as our primary picnic area. It is a two-level covered deck plus patio located next to the Gabriel Archer Tavern and across from the Wine Shop. In addition to the 1619 Wine Pavilion, several picnic tables are located near our Duck Pond. Guests can order lunch to-go from the Gabriel Archer Tavern and/or purchase artisanal cheese, charcuterie, and other snacks from our Wine Shop. All picnic areas close when the wine shop closes as required by ABC regulations.
May I bring my children to the Winery?
All children 12 years of age and under must be accompanied/supervised by an adult at all times.
Those under age 21 are permitted at the Gabriel Archer Tavern or on the lower level of the 1619 Wine Pavilion as well as the adjacent patio and lawn and at any picnic area. The upper level of the 1619 Wine Pavilion as well as all tours and indoor tasting rooms are reserved for those 21 and up only.
Our Duck Pond Picnic Area is a great option for families to spread out and enjoy our green space and fresh air.
We highly recommend parents bring quiet activities / games for their children if you are planning to visit.
