An unforgettable wine and culinary experience awaits at the Williamsburg Winery, a pioneer in crafting Virginia wine since 1985.
Here we share our unbridled passion for good wine and lasting friendships, our appreciation for a history of the people and places before us and a respect for the land that requires our daily stewardship. Some 376 years after the first British Settlement in the New World began, our story started.
Come see how it turned out.

Tours and Wine Flights
We’d love to share our private wine cellar with you as part of our Extensive Winery Tour that includes the chance to sample some of our reserve selections. Or experience one of our flights by enjoying a tasting in Susan Constant Hall. When you visit, don’t forget to stop by our retail shop for a vast selection of wines and artisan foods.

1619 Wine Pavilion
The two-level outdoor pavilion that overlooks vineyards is perfect to enjoy a glass of wine while sinking into one of the comfy cushioned chairs or inviting rockers. Upper deck reserved for guests 21 and older. Live music on seasonal nights. Named for The Acte of 1619 when the House of Burgesses required colonists to grow grapes and make wine (a concept we embrace!).

Merchants Square Wine Bar
Drop by our satellite location at 427 Duke of Gloucester Street in Merchants Square. Sip a glass of wine or enjoy a flight in our outdoor space or climb the winding staircase for an indoor retreat with ample options for sitting and standing. Snacks available for purchase.

Gabriel Archer Tavern
You won’t be in a rush to leave our Gabriel Archer Tavern because it’s so pleasant to stay, whether you join us indoors or sit on the brick patio underneath a splendid wisteria canopy. Almost all of the greens come from our own garden or were grown by local farmers. We choose only the freshest seafood from the Chesapeake Bay.

Wedmore Place
Discover a different part of the world with a stay at Wedmore Place, our onsite hotel with the warmth of a European inn. Each of the 28 rooms and suites reflects a theme reinforced with period antiques and art. Rooms have wood-burning fireplaces and comfy robes waiting for you. All offer king-sized beds for a slumber that leaves you refreshed for the new day.

Special Events
Don’t just choose to enjoy life, choose to celebrate it, too. Join us at Wessex Hundred for one of our many special events designed to celebrate everything from the farm on which our wines are made (meals served between the vines), educational wine Discovery Seminars (because the more you know the more you savor), and our plethora of other seasonal affairs.
